Downtown WO!

Friday, February 12th, 2010

This is pretty exciting, I’ve recently just completed a project for the Downtown BIA. It’s a new website called downtownWO.ca You may recognize that the rose graphic from my t-shirts is in the logo. When we were naming and branding this new project it seemed like a good fit, WO (with the ‘O’ being the rose), this will act as a good recognizable element to help promote Windsor and the downtown core.

This site would not have been created without the help of Accent Media, who did all the back end coding and geeky internety stuff, we worked in collaboration to merge design and fuctionality for a site that is easy to use and nice to look at.

Content will be updated regularly by the DWBIA and by my good friend Tom Lucier.

Vintage SPOTVIN

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

I was looking for an old illustration I did many years back and found a whole ton of stuff I did back in college, way too funny.  Here are a few samples. — 1. Apparently this is the type of car we should be driving in 2010, oh god, I think it should be parked right next to my jet pack. — 2. This was a made up logo for a fake sport team, oh the freedom of college and the oodles amount of time spent on one logo. –3. An illustration for a children’s book, I chose The Pied Piper, my favourite illustration was the back page of a bunch of mice drowning, probably not the best subject matter for budding minds. I’ll probably keep posting more now and then.spot_vintage1

Accent Media

This was branding created for a new company based out of Windsor, ON who specializes in all things web. So if your website is livin’ in the late 90’s, maybe it’s time for a new wardrobe.

thepartyphotos.net

I’ve been very busy lately when it comes to branding, that’s just fine, I really enjoy it. My recent branding project was for a client based out of London, England. It’s a pretty cool concept. He will come to your event or wedding, set up a big LCD screen and start taking photos around the room. His camera has wifi, so he can send the pics to the big screen so the guests can view the photos that have been taken.

Bandha Yoga Accessories

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

The bandha icon (tear drop/bhindi) was created as a simple brand recognizer, and then after I custom tooled the typeface (Myriad) to match. Funny story about the long image below (on right), we were looking to do a photo shoot for her brochure cover, we were having a hard time setting a time and the deadline was nearing, Michele said, “I have a disk with some images from our trip to India, maybe one of them will work?”, well, this is an image I found!. I thought it was amazing and perfect so we used it, no need for photo shoot.

Cascade Window Cleaning

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

A company out of Banff, AB asked me to create a logo to be used on uniforms and other materials. Too many companies in that area use imagery of mountains in their branding so we focused on the service itself, window cleaning. Typefaces Used: “Cascade” Helvetica Neue Bold and for “window cleaning” Helvetica Neue Thin Extended

Hager Optometry

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Here is some branding for a local Optometrist. There has been many different versions, but this one seemed to stick out for me. I’m enjoying the simplicity of it.

Typeface: Gotham Medium (my new favourite typeface), The “E” was created to mimic the typeface on the typical “eye chart”.
