For 2 years I worked at an interactive media company called Mc Gill Digital Solutions. I was hired as an Art Director to create the look and feel for many e-learning courses for (at the time) DaimlerChrysler. This was my favourite, It was called Business Link, and my job was to design the environment, characters and motion. Check these links out to see some of the course. (CLICK HERE 1) (CLICK HERE 2)

Going back a few years, I was asked to create the branding for the new Windsor International Film Festival. Now in its fifth year, it has been very successful, check out their website at windsorfilmfestival.ca

This is one of my favourite illustrations I’ve done in the past, My original intention was for the the little black bug to be a spider but someone pointed out I forgot two of the legs…..right….spiders have eight legs, oops. So in the theme of my last cat related post I thought I’d put this up. FYI: All posters I post on my website are available in 10″x 18″ limited edition prints for $20.

As an homage to my pet for whom I’ve recently had to put down, I thought I’d post this design that I did as part of a collection of prints that symbolize some part of my life. Not knowing at the time, that 22 would be her final year, I feel this has a much stronger meaning.

While I was at my previous employer, I had the luxury of working with the guys at Suede Productions. They produce some amazing video and I enjoy their creative spirit. Their studio is inspiring and sometimes I like to hang out there and benefit from their unique creative energy.
Recently they have won some very prestigious awards in their field, and I say congrats. Take a peak at their “moving” portfolio at suedeproductions.ca
Note: The projects I had an involvement with are 3rd down on the left (Windsor Spitfires-Game Opener) and 10th down on the left (Windsor Crossing- Thrill of the Hunt Commercial)

The bandha icon (tear drop/bhindi) was created as a simple brand recognizer, and then after I custom tooled the typeface (Myriad) to match. Funny story about the long image below (on right), we were looking to do a photo shoot for her brochure cover, we were having a hard time setting a time and the deadline was nearing, Michele said, “I have a disk with some images from our trip to India, maybe one of them will work?”, well, this is an image I found!. I thought it was amazing and perfect so we used it, no need for photo shoot.

A company out of Banff, AB asked me to create a logo to be used on uniforms and other materials. Too many companies in that area use imagery of mountains in their branding so we focused on the service itself, window cleaning. Typefaces Used: “Cascade” Helvetica Neue Bold and for “window cleaning” Helvetica Neue Thin Extended

Here is some branding for a local Optometrist. There has been many different versions, but this one seemed to stick out for me. I’m enjoying the simplicity of it.
Typeface: Gotham Medium (my new favourite typeface), The “E” was created to mimic the typeface on the typical “eye chart”.

A poster design for the big Sirius Satellite Radio Canada and CBC Radio 3 event happening here in Windsor July 11, 2009. My friends bar (Phog Lounge) won “Canada’s Best Live Music Venue” award from a CBC Radio 3 contest. Anyway, this poster is still in the approval stage but just wanted to show it’s development.

My friend asked me to create an avatar (charicature) of him to use on facebook and other social media sites. I’m pretty happy how it turned out, he was happy cause I was actually able to make him better looking than he is in real life, lole.
